Yeah, that's definitely something the nobiliy are obsessed with back home too. It's more complicated than planning the tide of a battle, the way they pop out kids and arrange marriages for them to make sure their crests and bloodlines pass on to the next generation.

It's be impressive, if it just flat out wasn't.

And the moment someone doesn't want to participate in their marriage games, they're "breaking up the family" and "aren't loyal."

I wonder how many of those arranged marriages actually pan out for anything other than passing on the blood line.

It ends with a husband living in another country to hide his "indulgences" from prying eyes while the wife runs her business and prays for the day when her husband ends up 'lost at sea' so she doesn't have to fret about when he will damage the family reputation again. Or so I've heard.
