If you overthink it you'll start thinking I'm talking about some kind of paradise, and I'm really, really not. Some people hide their preferences away under lock and key, because of things like inheritance, lineage and the family name too.

Well it does have to navigate narrow canals, so yes.

[ there's a oar, from what he can see? but i doubt an italian style gondola has any kind of oar yuri has seen before. ]

[Nope, because the canals are like 5 feet deep in some places and they literally use a stick to push the boats along. But Luca does know how to use it, so he'll take up the stick once he's in the gondola. But then he'll also offer out his hand to help Yuri in.]

I'll keep you out of the water, don't worry.

[ but sure, he'll take luca's hand so that he doesn't topple right into the five foot high water, and gives him a grin. ]

And what would we do if we were bother waterlogged? We might have to find a nice warm fireplace to curl up in front of while our clothes dried... Though actually that doesn't sound so bad.

[He's navigating them through the canal to get to an open part where they can watch the sunset.]

[ well it does get a laugh out of him, so there's that. but luca's not wrong, the sunset looks nice from here - simulated and fake as it might be.

It makes me wonder when we'll get to see a real one again.

[He kind of. Wants to be free of this place already. As fun as it all is, he's not enjoying the random deaths and lack of actual sunlight.]

... Who knows, maybe one of these floors will have all the windows and then we'll get to see outside again.
