[Still, he's heading down to the water now. Time to go for a swim in simulation-water!]

You had like a full mini-suit thing on a second ago. Most women just wear a one or two piece swim suit and that's enough.

[ he'll take another look around at the location over all, before following luca down to the waterfront. he's almost not sure what to expect from all of thism-- the simulation continues to be so much more real than he can ever expect, but the feeling of water running over his feet is certainly enough to make him blink in surprise. ]

But Luca is not one of those who fears the water, and he'll step right in along with Yuri. He only goes to about ankle-deep, as the water is cool and takes a bit to get used to, but he's grinning as he wiggles his toes in the wet sand and foamy waves that lap at his calves.]

[ yuri shifts his foot through the water, noting the feel of the waves against his skin and the change in temperature. ]

Hard to believe it's not, really. I know it isn't, but what I'm feeling and what seeing disputes it.

Oh no, of course not! They only went to about knee-length. Though the women do have a bodysuit not unlike a man's underneath that.

[Luca will move a bit closer to Yuri and use his own foot to dump some wet sand on top of Yuri's foot.]

I don't know how they do it. Part of me wonders if this actually is real after all.

Maybe that's the danger of it. Stay here long enough and you might forget what's real and what's not. [ and then he's just splashing Luca with sea water. ha. ]

[Dork. Luca jumps a bit when he's splashed, but he's quick to grin and start kicking water at Yuri.]

True. I could stay here forever.

Probably. All that fabric must've been heavy.

[ yuri stumbles a litte but doesn't fall, instead he pushes back. with a little more force than before. eat ocean, luca. ]

[Luca, a think, getting pushed around.

But yes, he is falling down into the water with a yelp. It's shallow enough for him to keep his head above the water though.

A moment later, he's grabbing for Yuri's hand to try and tug him into the water too.]

or it would be ha, because I'm absolutely going to say he catches yuri off balance and probably gets an elbow in the side when yuri falls on him. suffer, twinks. ]

[Oh no time to get knocked back and swallow a mouthful of seawater and choke on it. He's left sitting up and gasping for air now. But he doesn't let go of Yuri, interestingly enough.]

[ stop he's already dying this week. ]

[ well they're just in the water now. yuri's going to shake his head and probably get more water on luca like some kind of dog, shaking itself off. more water for luca. ]

That's one way to take a dip.

Luca laughs and holds up an arm to protect his face from those water droplets.]

And that's another way. We should have tied up your hair before getting in.

[ it's fine, he'll just drag it under control. ]

Ah, it'll dry. I can just take a shower when I get back and deal with it.

It might dry when we turn the simulation off too.

[Luca is combing a hand through his hair, trying to make himself look presentable.]

[ huh. ]

Right. Fake water. Guess we'll find out when we turn the thing off.

[ hold up fusspot, yuri'll hook some of the more flyaway damp bits back into something like their right place, just give him a moment. ]

No really, there's a moment there where Yuri's hand is tucking that bit of hair back, and Yuri is right there and it feels bright and warm in his chest and it's not because of the simulation sunlight beaming down on them.

In that moment it's like something clicks into place. And Luca is mentally freezing, because oh.

So that's what that feels like.

This is bad.]

[But Luca is used to covering up his true feelings. It's a mask he has worn for a long, long time. So he just smiles as he forces those butterflies and warmth down deep into his gut. Time to not think about feelings at all!]

If it all goes away when we shut the simulation off, then there's a lot we could do.

[ yuri's focused on making sure he's got... well. as much of luca's hair under control as he can. he can remember how fussy he's been literally every single time his hair has come up in conversation, so he's tucking another curl back into place and trying to flatten some of the pieces on the top of his head that look like they've been backwards through a hedge in this whole process.

maybe luca just won't realise his hair looks like this. or maybe he'll just be okay with the fact the it's a simulation and it'll be back to normal when they leave. ]
